Policy
General Refund Policy
Due to the nature of digital marketing services—where work begins immediately and involves strategic planning, research, and setup—refunds are generally not provided for services already rendered. However, we evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis according to the service-specific terms below.
Ad spend budgets paid directly to third-party platforms (Google, Meta, etc.) are not managed or refundable by Brief Route.
Paid Advertising (PPC) Management
Monthly retainer fees are non-refundable for the current month once work has commenced. Clients may cancel future months by providing written notice per their service agreement (typically 30 days). Unused ad spend remains in your advertising accounts and is not subject to refund by Brief Route.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
SEO is a long-term strategy, and results are not guaranteed. Monthly SEO retainers are non-refundable for the current billing period. Project-based SEO engagements (e.g., one-time audits or optimizations) may be eligible for a partial refund if work has not yet been delivered, less an administrative fee of 15% or $150 (whichever is greater).
Content and Creative Marketing
Refunds for content creation depend on the stage of delivery:
- Before any drafts delivered: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee.
- After first draft, before final delivery: 50% refund.
- After final delivery: No refund.
Marketing Strategy Audits
Audit fees are non-refundable once the audit process has begun (defined as the client granting access to required accounts/data). If no access has been provided and the audit has not started, a full refund may be issued upon request.
How to Request a Refund
Submit a written request to info@briefroute.com with:
- Your full name and company.
- Invoice number and service in question.
- Detailed reason for the refund request.
Requests are reviewed within 10 business days.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 business days. Brief Route reserves the right to deny refund requests that do not meet the criteria outlined above or that are submitted more than 30 days after the payment date.
